The Necessity of Ministry Staff Evaluation
In almost every secular field, annual, if not bi-annual, evaluations are a given for every single employee. It is important for both the employer and employee to understand where he or she fits into the organization, and to know both their strengths and weaknesses, as well as where improvements can be made. The same can be said for those involved in church ministry. For those in church leadership, Ministry Staff Evaluation is an absolute necessity. The pastor, associates, and other staff need to be evaluated and critiqued on a regular basis. While this might seem “unspiritual” to some, I would say the exact opposite. It is something that we need to do to make sure that these men and women are spiritually fit to lead.
