Kids are Their Environment
My husband has a sixteen year old son, and he is at his wit’s end. This kid has no gumption, and wants nothing to do with getting a job. Further, he doesn’t think he needs to continue doing well in school because he has already done so once. My mother-in-law is taking us on a cruise next summer to Alaska, and he doesn’t want to go because he says he was already on a boat (18 foot on Lake Erie) and didn’t like it. My husband feels that his parenting skills are lacking, but truth be told, his son is very spoiled by his mother. He is what has been created by his environment.
