IRS Audit or IRS Inquiries?
Sometimes, the IRS all he wants more information but does not want to do a full IRS audit on the taxpayer. If something does not add up on your tax return, the IRS may ask about that item and ask you to provide more information or evidence.
The are just IRS inquiries, not IRS audits. But whether it is an IRS inquiry or an IRS audit, people usually freak out when they receive the later from the IRS about anything on their tax return at all.
Tax is something that people do not want to mess with which is why they tried to do anything possible to not alert the IRS enough to have to do IRS audits.
