Most people do not know how to figure out the federal tax credits that they are entitled to claim. It is true that finding out about federal tax credits can be confusing especially if you do not know how taxes work.
Fortunately, there are many IRS publications that will help you. The bad news is these IRS publications are often too boring for anyone to read and can be very confusing as well.
As a result, many people claim the wrong federal tax credits and end up not getting the tax credits that they should have got. It is not the IRS’ fault that they do not tolerate incorrect filing of tax returns.
