I am a 48-year old mom who has always wanted to play the electric guitar. My daughters both took flute lessons at a local music store. I have always wanted to play the electric guitar, so I decided to take lessons while I waited for them to complete their lessons. The teacher was a wonderful teacher, but he continued with a formal style lesson. I just wanted to play for fun and I wanted to play music I listened to. I researched on the internet and found many articles on how to read guitar tabs. It was very easy and now I am playing my style of music I like.
