My Best Friend’s Husband is Cheating
Isn’t it amazing how one incident can completely turn your life upside down? This is exactly what happened to one of my best friends. We’ve known each other for at least 20 years and she phoned me last week to tell me that she suspects her husband is cheating. Being her best friend, I felt compelled to give her some very wise advice, but I had nothing.
It’s also given me time to reflect on my own life and how fortunate I have been to not have to have suffered through infidelity. This is about as close as it’s ever come for me and watching her go through the stress and emotional turmoil is tearing me apart. All that I can do is offer my advice – and it’s not like I’ve had first-hand experience. The next few months are going to be extremely difficult, but I plan on being there for her no matter what.
