I have been running a little shop that specializes in selling replica swords and knives to collectors for a few years now, and I can tell you that right after that movie The Last Samurai came out, I haven’t been able to keep my stock of Samurai swords full.  Even though its been a two or three years since the move came out, I still get lots of orders for replica swords from the movie.  That’s one thing I like about movies like that, is fact that they tend to generate an interest in a past culture that folks weren’t too aware of before.
