What is an ancient equiptian wall stencil?

In ancient Egypt, there were many a wall stencil. They were used on mainly walls and tombs. The stencils were used to decorate the tombs of their kings and queens who past away and were mummified in order to keep their spirit. The walls were mainly used to tell their stories by having the artist stencil an outline of a figure or hieroglyph onto the wall and the the sculptor would incise the outline in order to indent it into the wall. The a layer of stucco would be added in order for the paint to stick to the wall. These people used very bright primary colors in order to tell their stories.
