Building a Wooden Gate Yourself
If you like the look of wooden gates, then it is good to know that you can build one of these yourself. There are many kinds of gate kits you can buy containing the wood and the hardware as well as easy to read instruction to let you build the gate yourself. You don’t need to buy any special saws because with a kit all the pieces are cut to the correct lengths. You just need a screwdriver to put them together. You will need to pour cement for the posts.
Depending on the span of the space where you want to install a gate, it might be a good idea to have four posts instead of two. This would give you a gate in the middle and a type of fence on either side of the gate. It would also provide more stability to the gate and the fence. It is also a neat design when you want to add some architectural element to your fencing.
