Lavender And Sleep

For years, I have struggled to get a solid night’s sleep. I had tried everything out there but nothing seemed to work. It was very frustrating.
I came across an article on the use of dried lavender as a means to help cure insomnia. I decided to give this a try and was delighted that it worked.
All people need sleep in order that the body can heal itself and maintain a healthy immune system. Taking prescribed medication is an added expense and has the potential for addiction. It seems prudent that natural sleeping aids should be the first thing tried in our arsenal of self-help approaches to problems we face.
I grow lavender in a pot garden and dry it in the oven. I then place it in a sachet inside my pillowcase. the aroma is lovely and it relaxes me. I tend to enter sleep quickly and my body feels relaxed when I awaken.
