Looking Back Before the Era of Working Moms
In some ways, life was simpler for women before the women’s lib movement. There did not use to be working moms then. Not to say that it was better or worse, it was just simpler. The men worked, and the women stayed home and took care of the kids. Granted, there were drawbacks.
Divorce was every woman’s fear, because the economic repercussions were usually severe. The opportunities for the women economically just weren’t there. However, we have paid a price for our advancements.
It seems that most working women are still carrying most of the weight of running the home as well as the burdens of working full-time. It is a constant conflict for most women.
