following the crowd

People are always looking for ways to get ahead financially. Whether it is buying a car with better gas mileage, making tax deductible donations, or looking at home mortgage refinancing options. One thing that my husband and I have heard is that people spend up to 10 to 15 percent of their electric bill on electronics that are plugged in but not turned on. We were surprised to hear this, but ever since decided to unplug the appliances we don’t often use like the coffee maker and toaster. In addition, we got rid of the plug-in air fresheners and unplug the power strip to our computer every night. I’m looking forward to seeing if it makes a difference on the next bill!
