Car Insurance for my Daughter
My daughter passed her test last Saturday and we have brought her a little Clio as her first car. We went through the age old dilemma of debating whether to buy her something newer which should be safer to drive, or getting a cheap banger which if she knocked or crashed wouldn’t be the end of the world. We decided to for something in the middle in the end as, we thought that the car insurance costs would be lower on a safer vehicle but not one which was top of the range. It doesn’t seemed to have worked out too badly so far – my daughter loves the car and we actually found an insurance premium that was affordable for my daughter to manage on her own. The only problem now is not wanting to let her go driving on her own without a chaperone in case something goes wrong – but I guess I will have to get over that one sooner or later or I am going to have a very grumpy teenager on my hands and I think she stopped buying the ‘it is for your own good’ line a while ago.
