Although several special tools are needed to enjoy this most therapeutic of crafts the tools themselves are very simple and very cheap to buy. For any quiller the two most basic, and quire essential, pieces of equipment are a needle tool and slotted quilling. Tool. These two tools allow the quiller to create most basic shapes and patterns and the novice will never run out of ideas even if she restricts herself to these two main tools. Actually using the tools is very simple. The slotted tool is used by putting one end of the paper through the tools slot whilst wrapping the rest of the paper around the tool itself. The needle tool differs in that it doesn’t have a slot but otherwise the same procedure is followed.
