Movies make Iowa money
The movie “the Bridges of Madison County” has done a lot to increase Iowa tourism. The book by the same name did quite a bit when it was published, but when they made it into a movie and filmed that movie in an Iowa location the crowds all came to see where Meryl Strep acted her role. Since the movie was made one of the bridges was destroyed by arson and it is currently being rebuilt but it will never be like the original. You can make it look the same, but the only thing to make it look old is age and that will take another hundred years.
